Cupid (Eros)

Collectable Minifigures, Series 27

First released as part of the Collectable Minifigures, Series 27, in 2025, this LEGO Minifigure depicts Cupid/Eros in his more contemporary Cherub form with chubby cheeks and childlike innocent face.

Cupid was adopted by the Ancient Romans, taking him from the Ancient Greek God Eros, god of love, desire and fertility. The Ancient Greeks originally depicted Eros as an attractive young man.

The visual Cherub form of Cupid was made popular in the late 19th century and through the 20th century with the boom of affordable mass printed St. Valentines cards (notably produced by Hallmark). But the Cherub form of Cupid traces much further back in art history.
